Ivan Band is an Iranian pop group consisting of Hossein Sharifi (vocalist) and Foad Ghaffari (composer and piano/keyboard player). The two began their serious activity as the group “Ivan” in winter 1395, and quickly gained attention by releasing official tracks, including “Ey Eshgh”, which has been mentioned as one of the early official works of their collaboration.
According to some sources, the track “Mah-e Mani” (released in Azar 96) helped Ivan Band become more widely recognized.
Ivan Band’s first concert was held on 16 Azar 1397, titled “Alijenab”, at Milad Hall, Tehran International Exhibition Center.
(Regarding the meaning of the group’s name, some sources state that “Ivan Band” in Latin has been cited as meaning “warrior boy.”)
